By the way, the year with the biggest amount of beer sold ( in Bavaria we drink it from 1 liter-mugs), was 2007. Incredible 6.9 mio. liters of beer were sold to people from all over the world in only two weeks. The reason for that? Since the public holiday for the German reunification (03. Oktober) was on a Tuesday, the executives of the Wiesn (Bavarian word for Oktoberfest) decided to have the longest beer fest of all times (18 days).
